How To: Make A Magnetic Bulletin Board

Today's project is a quick one.  After gathering all of the supplies it literally took me 10 minutes to complete.  This magnetic bulletin board hangs in my kitchen and is a great place to hang all of those notes, birthday invitations, and checks. And it looks pretty too!

First off - gather all of your supplies.
  1. A frame you love
  2. Fabric you love
  3. Sheet Metal (I purchased a 24x36 inch piece of galvanized steel at Home Depot for less than $10)
  4. A hot glue gun
The frame I chose is 11x14, so I first cut my fabric to 14x17 so that I would have 1-1/2 inches extra on each side to wrap around the sheet metal.

Using tin snips (or if you have them, I used air sheers hooked up to my air compressor), measure and cut your sheet metal to the size of your frame.

Using a hot glue gun, glue the fabric around the sheet metal.  Put your fabric wrapped metal in the frame (remove the glass) and you are done!  Now get some cute magnets to dress it up even more.  And that is it! Super easy, inexpensive, fast and chic!  I love that you can customize it with whatever frame or fabric you want and matches your decor.

What projects have you completed to match your home and decor? I'd love to see them!
